Outcome 4a. Apply library and information science theories, principles,
and research to professional practice.
In MAYL 814, we read contemporary and newly released comics for different audiences, and we learned how to incorporate comics, graphic novels, and manga into our programs and curricula. By studying different pedagogy approaches and past successful school events, I created proposal for a comics and manga book club in a high school setting, specifically Morton West High School in Berwyn. In order to create a successful proposal I made to sure research on the Berwyn community, and I had to review previous notes on creating program assessments and budget proposals.

Outcome 4b. Evaluate current and emerging technologies for
information capture, organization, dissemination, access, and/or
curation to meet the variety of information needs of diverse
communities.
In LIS 708, we spent the entire semester working towards an extensive and thorough research paper. In this research paper, I analyzed eBook usage trends amongst MLIS students at Dominican University. eBooks and other digital materials have seen an increase in usage since the COVID-19 pandemic. Now librarians have to navigate a new landscape when it comes to digital collection development. Not only do they have to navigate the purchase of e-materials, but also the marketing of these e-materials. In this paper I explored eBook usage patterns amongst MLIS students in order to identify how to better encourage their use., while also learning about e-resource purchasing trends.

Outcome 4c. Demonstrate teaching and learning principles in relation
to professional practice.
In LIS 702, we were asked to create a short instruction video to the audience and library of our choosing. I decided to create a short lesson aimed towards 3-5 year old children in a public library setting. The aim of the lesson was to be given on Earth Day as an informational lesson, followed by an arts and crafts activity to enhance motor skills.
