Outcome 3a. Design resources or tools that facilitate access to
information.
While I was in the outreach team at the Rebecca Crown Library, we created multiple informational LibGuides in order to provide research resources to our students. I create a Spanish-language Día De Los Muertos LibGuide to facilitate access to a larger audience. I also created a Día De Los Muertos zine using the English language Día De Los Muertos LibGuide. Both materials contain information on the holiday and contain general resources for further research. Both of these resources allows reach to a higher range of students and educators.

Outcome 3b. Utilize resources or tools to manage information.
In LIS 730, we were tasked with creating a cataloging portfolio. The aim of the project was to give us experience cataloging different types of resources. Different resources are cataloged with their own set of rules. The five items I cataloged were: 1) a print book 2) a DVD (originally from a box set) 3) a jigsaw puzzle 4) a Nintendo DS video game, and 5) a CD. In order to accurately and successfully complete this project we had to utilize a variety of resources. I visited the RDA Toolkit, the Library of Congress site for MARC field information, OCLC, WorldCat, ClassWeb, and a variety of other resources. Outcome 3c. Evaluate resources or tools that manage and facilitate
access to information.
I would argue that librarians are one of the most important resources towards access to information. Poor management and/or leadership in a library could affect said access. LIS 707 focuses on library management and for one of the assignments we were tasked with investigating leadership at a library of our choice. In this paper, I interviewed librarians at the Berwyn Public Library and found that librarians are most successful at their profession when there is adequate leadership, support, and communication.
